Key Responsibilities

Student Boarding and Transportation Safety

• Welcome students as they board the school bus and help them locate their assigned seats.
• Supervise students during boarding and disembarking to ensure they enter and leave the bus safely.
• Assist children with their school bags, lunchboxes, and personal belongings, ensuring these are placed in designated areas.
• Help students fasten their seatbelts correctly and ensure they remain securely seated throughout the journey.
• Monitor student safety and well-being while travelling to and from the school campus.
• Follow established health and safety procedures to maintain a secure environment for all students.

Student Supervision and Attendance

• Take and maintain accurate student attendance records during school bus journeys.
• Supervise student behaviour and encourage appropriate conduct while travelling.
• Communicate with teachers and parents regarding student behaviour and relevant concerns arising during transportation.
• Remain attentive to students ' needs and provide assistance whenever required.
• Become familiar with school bus routes to assist the driver during daily transportation activities.

Support for Students with Special Needs

• Provide additional care and assistance to students with special educational or developmental needs.
• Help students remain comfortable, secure, and supported throughout their journeys.
• Become familiar with individual students ' medical, physical, communication, and emotional needs.
• Adapt assistance and supervision according to each student 's individual requirements.
• Maintain a caring and supportive approach when interacting with students who require additional attention.

Bus Cleaning and General Housekeeping

• Assist with cleaning and housekeeping activities in assigned areas.
• Carry out vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and spot-cleaning as required.
• Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene in and around designated areas.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks while following relevant health and safety procedures.
• Support the maintenance of a clean and comfortable environment for students.
