Job summary

WhizzHR is hiring a Business Development Manager – General Insurance to drive new business and build strong corporate relationships across the UAE. You will identify client insurance needs and present suitable general insurance solutions, coordinating with insurers for competitive terms.

This on-site role targets growth in Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, and SME segments, requiring 3–7 years in insurance sales and a strong UAE network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in insurance sales/business development, preferably in general insurance brokerage.
• Strong UAE market knowledge and existing corporate/SME network will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and commercially driven.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and SME clients.
• Identify client insurance requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Handle enquiries, quotations, negotiations, renewals, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with insurers to obtain competitive terms and premiums.
• Drive sales across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, SME, and other general insurance products.
• Achieve monthly and annual business development and revenue targets.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and insurance products.
• Collaborate with underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing.
