Job summary

Kemipex is expanding into Cosmetics & Personal Care Chemicals and seeks a Chemical Engineer who blends technical depth with market research, business development and strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities include researching cosmetics markets, identifying opportunities, mapping customers, preparing competitive analyses, and coordinating product solutions. You will build a pipeline with manufacturers, formulators, distributors and brands, and lead discovery through multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as listed.
• 2–5 years of experience in specialty chemicals, chemical sales, cosmetics/personal care ingredients, technical sales, formulation, market research, or business development.
• Strong market research, analytical, communication and business development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Research cosmetics, personal care, skincare and cosmetic ingredients markets.
• Identify market trends, customer requirements, competitors, pricing and new opportunities.
• Map potential customers, applications, products and market segments.
• Prepare market intelligence and competitor analyses.
• Identify and develop a pipeline of manufacturers, formulators, distributors and brands.
• Conduct lead generation via LinkedIn, databases, events, referrals and other channels.
• Understand customer requirements, applications, volumes, specs and sourcing needs.
• Arrange meetings, presentations and product discussions.
• Map customer requirements to cosmetic ingredients and product solutions.
• Research new cosmetic ingredients and products for portfolio development.
• Gather customer and market feedback to identify gaps.

Education

KEMIPEX is expanding into the Cosmetics & Personal Care Chemicals business, and we are looking for a Chemical Engineer who combines technical knowledge with market research, business development, and strong commercial acumen.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building a new business vertical from the ground up - from understanding the market and identifying products to developing new customers and supporting supplier and internal coordination.

• Research the cosmetics, personal care, skincare, haircare, and cosmetic ingredients markets.
• Identify market trends, customer requirements, competitors, pricing, and new business opportunities.
• Map potential customers, applications, products, and market segments.
• Prepare market intelligence and competitor analysis reports.

Business Development

• Identify and develop a pipeline of manufacturers, formulators, distributors, brands, and other potential customers.
• Conduct lead generation through LinkedIn, industry databases, events, referrals, and other channels.
• Understand customer requirements, applications, volumes, specifications, and sourcing needs.
• Arrange customer meetings, presentations, product discussions, and follow-ups.

Technical & Product Coordination

• Understand customer requirements and map them to relevant chemical ingredients and product solutions.
• Research and identify new cosmetic ingredients and products for portfolio development.
• Gather customer and market feedback to identify product and portfolio gaps.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in specialty chemicals, chemical sales, cosmetics/personal care ingredients, technical sales, formulation, market research, or business development.
• Experience with cosmetic ingredients, personal care chemicals, or specialty chemical raw materials is preferred.
• Strong market research, analytical, communication, and business development skills.
• Commercially driven with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
