Job summary

Whizz HR Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to oversee health, safety and environmental compliance across construction sites in Dubai.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction safety management experience and strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations. The role requires 3–5 years in the UAE construction sector, NEBOSH IGC / IOSH or equivalent certification, a valid Dubai driving licence, and willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree (attested).
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH or Dubai-recognised safety certification.
• 3–5 years of UAE construction safety experience.
• Knowledge of Dubai construction safety regulations.
• Valid Dubai driving licence is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel between construction sites.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• First Aid, Fire Safety or OSHAD certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities comply with Dubai safety laws and regulations.
• Implement and monitor HSE policies and site safety procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Provide safety inductions, toolbox talks and training.
• Investigate accidents and near misses and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure proper use of PPE.
• Monitor machinery, tools and scaffolding safety.
• Maintain safety documents, inspection reports and incident records.
• Coordinate with project teams to maintain safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure construction activities comply with Dubai safety laws and local authority regulations.
• Implement and monitor company HSE policies and site-specific safety procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and employee safety training.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor the safety of machinery, tools, scaffolding and construction equipment.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports and incident records.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and site teams to maintain safe working conditions.
