Job summary

PeopleStrong in the UAE is looking for a Safety Officer to ensure site safety compliance across MEA. You will oversee inductions, conduct periodic inspections, and maintain records to support the safety management system and internal audits.

You will deliver training, confirm statutory health and safety documentation, coordinate with Project Managers, participate in safety meetings, and lead by example to uphold a strong health and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site personnel attend site induction prior to working on site.
• Carry out periodic site safety inspections and report back findings to site management.
• Keep and maintain clear records to comply with safety management system and internal audit standards.
• Communicate and promote the health and safety management ethos and concepts.
• Deliver training as agreed with the Health & Safety Manager.
• Ensure that project has been provided with the relevant statutory health and safety documentation.
• Identify ideas for improvement and issues encouraged.
• Provide support to the Health & Safety Manager and site management on incident investigation.
• Liaise directly with Project Managers on health and safety matters.
• Attends regular project safety department meetings.
• Set a personal example of safe behavior.
