Qualifications

• Total 4–5 years of experience as Safety Officer in construction.
• Minimum 4 years UAE construction experience mandatory.
• Relevant HSE qualification or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor company HSE policies and safety standards at construction sites.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and project requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, inductions, and safety awareness programs for workers.
• Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and safety records.
• Monitor PPE usage and enforce safety procedures on site.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to resolve safety issues.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, scaffolding, lifting, excavation, electrical and hot works.
• Ensure proper implementation of emergency procedures and drills.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and follow up on corrective actions.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Safety Officer to ensure a safe and compliant working environment across construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with UAE HSE regulations and company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at construction sites.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and applicable construction safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness programs for workers and site staff.
• Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, inspection reports, and safety records.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure workers comply with required safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and prepare detailed reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and project management to resolve safety issues.
• Monitor high-risk activities including working at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, electrical works, hot works, and confined spaces.
• Ensure proper implementation of emergency procedures and participate in emergency drills.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are closed within the required timeframe.
• Maintain proper HSE documentation and records for audits and inspections.
• Support internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• 4–5 years of total experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE construction experience is mandatory.
• Experience working with a main contractor or reputed construction company is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and UAE HSE requirements.
• Relevant HSE/Safety qualification or diploma is required.
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigations, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage site safety responsibilities.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Candidates with UAE experience in the following projects will be preferred:

• Villas
• Commercial Projects
• Large-Scale Construction Projects

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

Candidates without a minimum of 4 years of UAE construction experience will not be considered.
