Job summary

Caliberly is seeking a skilled Rust Developer to design, implement and maintain high performance software components. You will collaborate with product, architecture, QA and operations to build scalable systems, addressing performance and safety challenges.

You will design modules in Rust, ensure code quality with reviews and tests, and contribute to architecture discussions. The role requires strong Rust skills and experience with async programming and concurrency.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 35 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years of production level Rust development preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Rust including ownership, borrowing and lifetimes.
• Solid understanding of systems programming, memory management and concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software modules using Rust with focus on safety and performance.
• Write clean, tested Rust code and ensure quality via reviews and tests.
• Work on asynchronous, concurrent software and optimize latency/throughput.
• Collaborate on architecture discussions and manage version control workflows.
• Troubleshoot, profile, debug and deploy services on premises or in cloud.
• Document designs and mentor junior engineers to build a Rust culture.
