A leading engineering consultancy in Dubai is seeking a System Quality Manager to oversee quality control activities for rolling stock retrofit. The ideal candidate will have 13 years of experience in the railway business, particularly with rolling stock. Responsibilities include managing inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Strong collaboration and analytical skills are essential for this role, which operates on-site, with no remote work options available.
Internal: System Quality Manager Subsystem Manager Depot Manager.
External: Clients or their representative external suppliers.
For Failures and Retrofit activities:
To perform Quality control activities for Rolling stock retrofit scope. To perform fleet wide inspection as per the defined containment action and agreed monitoring scope. To maintain all Quality control records for retrofit activities and fleetwide containment actions. Ensure the documentation updates for all retrofit and fleetwide inspections. Able to manage the traceability matrix showing the retrofit works planned v/s works completed. Shall be responsible to ensure the calibration of all working tools and maintain the register. Familiar with special process like Torque tightening. Ensure the tools and material/chemicals validity used as part of daily works by RSK team. Report any nonconformity observed during daily activity to the Quality manager and subsystem manger. And followup for the closure of all nonconformities. Initiate repair loop by Reporting NCR for any hardware failure via Online Alstom supplier portal and follow up to get the inputs from the supplier for final closure. Attend internal meetings with the Quality manager and Subsystem manager to provide updates on the progress of daily activities.
For Punch/Snag list closure:
Shall perform the internal inspection to ensure the punch/snag is closed prior inviting customer. Shall be responsible to perform inspection with the customer for final acceptance for the punch/snag items on site. Update of the Rolling stock punchlist on daily basis. Responsible to prepare daily/weekly progress for the punch/snag list closure (internally and with the customer).
Educational requirements: University Degree in Technical/Electrical Electronic Mechanical.
Technical Knowledge / Experience: 13 years of experience in quality with railway business; rolling stock experience is mandatory; knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001) and quality tools. Good Experience in MS Office (Excel and Word). Fluent in English. RSY Quality Manager. Rolling stock Quality. Control Inspector
