Job summary

Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lab & Operations Manager to oversee daily lab functions, organize workspaces, manage equipment inventory, and handle procurement processes.

You will also lead Safety & Compliance across all lab facilities and drive R&D activities, including System Integration with ROS/ROS2, prototype testing, field demonstrations, and mentoring student teams for capstone projects and competitive robotics events.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSc) in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
• Strong expertise in ROS / ROS2, software development, and robotic hardware integration.
• Proven track record in building, testing, and troubleshooting robotic systems, as well as conducting lab/field trials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lab functions, organize workspaces, manage equipment inventory, and handle procurement processes.
• Implement and enforce Health & Safety protocols across all lab facilities.
• Develop software (ROS/ROS2), integrate robotic hardware, and support prototype testing and field pilot demonstrations.
• Provide technical guidance to student teams for capstone projects and competitive robotics events.
