Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd. is seeking a Material Inspector to oversee quality control of road and infrastructure materials in Dubai. You will verify source approvals, review test reports, and ensure compliance with RTA and Dubai Municipality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid RTA or Dubai Municipality approval is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials for roads, bridges, drainage, utilities, and general civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials delivered to site and verify compliance with RTA specs and contract requirements.
• Check source approvals, supplier docs, batch certificates, mill certificates, and test reports before materials are accepted.
• Coordinate laboratory and field testing with the Material Engineer, Site Engineer, contractor, and approved laboratories.
• Maintain material logs, inspection records, test reports, approvals, and traceable QA/QC documentation.
• Identify non-conforming materials and raise appropriate NCRs or site observations.
