Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd in Dubai is seeking a Civil Inspector for Infrastructure and Roads to support major projects by ensuring compliance with contract regulations and quality standards. This role involves on-site supervision and coordination with authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure or roads and bridges projects.
• Knowledge of QA QC procedures and contract administration.
• Familiarity with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and DEWA regulations.
• Strong understanding of construction supervision and inspection processes.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and project standards.
• Maintain daily site records of manpower, equipment, materials, and executed works.
• Conduct site inspections and measurements including pipe alignments, levels, and elevations.
• Monitor contractor QA QC implementation and maintain inspection documentation.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports and Site Observation Reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review contractor RFIs and technical submittals and provide recommendations to RE or ARE.
• Monitor contractor progress against approved schedules and report delays.
• Coordinate with RTA, DM, DEWA, and other authorities for inspections and compliance.
• Participate in site meetings and assist in resolving technical and site coordination issues.
• Support testing, commissioning, punch list verification, and handover activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
