Job summary
Raffles Dubai is seeking a dedicated Restaurant Hostess to provide a warm welcome for guests at Azur Restaurant and Solo Italian Restaurant. You will manage seating, reservations, and assist in service setup while maintaining high standards of guest experience.
This role reports to the Supervisor and requires strong English communication, grooming, and a professional demeanor to represent the luxury brand across all interactions.
Qualifications
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to establish a good rapport with guests.
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Eagerness to learn and share knowledge with the Team.

Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome, leading guests and seating them at their table.
- Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations.
- Assist in the set-up of tables and displays.
- Maintain and update guest database.
- Ensure knowledge of LQA and hotel standards and apply them in interactions.
- Assist in resolving guest complaints and escalate when needed.
- Support service training led by supervisors to ensure standards.
- Maintain records and reports for the outlet according to schedule.
- Support service team during peak times and in back area tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of hostess station and menus.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service.

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles Dubai as our new Restaurant Hostess to provide an appropriate welcome at Azur Restaurant and Solo Italian Restaurant for guests, to handle table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests. This position reports to Supervisor.
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome, leading guests and seating them at their table
- Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations
- Assist in the set-up of tables and displays
- Maintain and update guest database
- To ensure full knowledge and understanding of LQA and Hotel Standards and to implement them in all interactions
- Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager
- To undertake service training lead by the outlet Departmental Trainer/ Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager to ensure full capability in understanding and executing service standards
- To ensure that all reports related to the outlet are well maintained and completed as per schedule and in a timely manner
- To support the service team during times of need/crunch in service in the following areas, but not limited to: section holding, coffee station, back area and mis en place etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of hostess station and surrounding areas, as well as of all menus
- Maintain good working relationship with own colleagues, and all other departments
- Correct preparation of all necessary operational material in the back office
- Learn safety, sanitation and hygiene policies
- Present check to guests and perform cashiering function if needed
- Effectively control guest flow in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover
- Train staff in hostess standards
- Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that both staff and tables are ready in line with opening standards
- Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel
- Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when needed
