Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to supervise day-to-day site activities at residential and high-rise tower projects in Dubai. The role requires coordination with foremen, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work follows drawings, specs, and method statements.

The candidate will manage manpower, materials, and equipment, check formwork and reinforcement before pours, and raise inspection requests on time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities including excavation, shoring, foundations, concrete, blockwork, plastering and finishing works.
• Ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials and equipment with foremen and subcontractors.
• Check setting out, levels, formwork and reinforcement before pours; raise IRs on time.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants for approvals and issue resolutions.
• Monitor workmanship quality and close NCRs and snag items.
• Adhere to HSE on site and enforce safe practices.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and site diaries.

Job description

• Supervise day-to-day site activities, including excavation, shoring, foundations, concrete, blockwork, plastering, and finishing works.

• Make sure work is carried out according to approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Plan and allocate daily manpower, materials, and equipment in coordination with foremen and subcontractors.

• Check setting out, levels, formwork, and reinforcement before concrete pours, and raise inspection requests (IRs) on time.

• Coordinate with the consultant for inspections, material approvals, and resolving site issues.

• Monitor quality of workmanship and follow up on closing NCRs and snag items.

• Enforce HSE rules on site and make sure safe work practices are followed at all times.

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, site diaries, and material requirement lists.

• Coordinate with MEP teams to avoid clashes and make sure openings, sleeves, and embedded services are in place.

• Help with quantity checks and subcontractor work measurements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

• 5-8 years of site experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE.

• Hands-on experience in residential and high-rise tower construction projects.

• Background with main contracting firms in the UAE.

• Good knowledge of structural and finishing works, construction sequencing, and site coordination.

• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and consultant inspection procedures.
