Job summary

Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Reservations Assistant to maximize hotel occupancy by accurately handling reservations and delivering exceptional guest service in a busy, upscale setting.

You will download bookings, respond to guest inquiries, manage VIP requests, and maintain knowledge of rates, room types, and competition. Collaborate with sales to convert inquiries into confirmed business.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a hotel reservations role is preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Download bookings from external reservation systems
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, hours of operation, and local area & attractions
• Ensure all VIP and special requests are handled efficiently and accurately
• Have full knowledge of all rates, room types, overall hotel product and competition
• Check correspondence daily before arrival date and ensure all relevant information is documented
• Check the no show record as well as pending reservation
• Inform the sales team to fulfill sales leads
• Show complete product knowledge, understand rate structure and apply rate management
• Check on pending visa or expiring visas which need to exit the country

We have an exciting opportunity for you as Reservations Assistant to join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina.

As a Reservations Assistant you are responsible to achieve best possible results in terms of maximizing hotel’s occupancy by terms of getting and inputting reservations. To ensure guests satisfaction and loyalty through quality guest service considering of the brand standards and your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• To download bookings from external reservation systems
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, hours of operation, and local area & attractions
• To ensure all VIP and special requests are handled efficiently and accurately
• To have full knowledge of all rates, room types, overall hotel product and hotels primary competition
• To check correspondence on a daily basis before arrival date and ensure all relevant information is acquired and fully documented
• Check the no show record as well as pending reservation
• Check the system on reservations for next two weeks and inform the sales team to fulfilsales leadsaccordingly
• Show complete product knowledge, understand rate structure andapplyrate management
• Check on pending visa or expiring visa’s which need to exit the country

The ideal candidate must 1 to 2 years of progressive work-related experience in the same role in a 4* or 5* city hotel in Dubai and has strong capabilities in handling technicality of revenue generating mediums & organizing, detail-oriented and, with ability to work under pressure of deadlines and ever-shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Also must be a team player, have strong interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team, flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
