Reservations Agent - Hotel Booking in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a hospitality hiring opportunity for a customer‑focused reservations professional who can handle room enquiries, process bookings, maintain accurate reservation records, and support hotel revenue through upselling and effective selling strategies. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented candidate with experience in front office, reservations, or sales, strong telephone etiquette, Opera Cloud knowledge, and the ability to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming room reservation enquiries by telephone, email, fax, or other approved channels within the agreed departmental standard.
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings by applying the hotel selling strategy and maintaining a professional customer service approach.
  • Input reservations into Opera reservation system with complete and accurate guest details, stay dates, room type, rates, billing notes, and special requests.
  • Update special requests, payment instructions, billing details, guest preferences, and booking remarks accurately in Opera.
  • Use Opera and TARS systems according to required operational standards, functionality, and department procedures.
  • Follow minimum rate and minimum stay strategies implemented by the revenue team while seeking the best possible revenue advantage for the hotel.
  • Provide polite, friendly, and clear responses to all incoming telephone enquiries.
  • Maintain full knowledge of hotel facilities, room categories, packages, services, promotions, and guest benefits.
  • Maximize hotel revenue by identifying opportunities to upsell rooms, packages, longer stays, services, and related hotel products.
  • Process all enquiries and reservation confirmations on the same day they are received.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for reservation correspondence, confirmations, booking records, and department documents.
  • Build strong rapport with customers, repeat guests, bookers, corporate contacts, and regular callers to encourage loyalty and future business.
  • Identify potential sales leads and share relevant information with the sales team for account development.
  • Stay aware of hotel financial targets and understand the reservations team's contribution to achieving revenue goals.
  • Maintain strong accuracy, attention to detail, personal organization, and positive communication during all reservation activities.
  • Assist colleagues when needed and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
  • Carry out relevant duties requested by the Cluster Assistant Reservations Manager, reservations leadership, or hotel management.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, according to operational needs.
  • Handle reservation challenges, booking changes, guest questions, and system updates with sound judgment and problem‑solving ability.
Ideal Profile
  • Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in Front Office, Reservations, or Sales, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Professional telephone etiquette with strong written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems such as Opera Cloud and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems, hotel booking procedures, room categories, rate structures, packages, and guest communication standards.
  • Detail‑oriented approach with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced reservations environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and confidence to make practical decisions independently when required.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with reservations, front office, sales, revenue, and other hotel departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail in booking records, correspondence, and system updates.
  • Fluency in English is required, and additional languages will be an advantage.
  • Flexible availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
