Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a backend engineer specialized in Kotlin to develop and maintain mission‑critical banking services. You will design cloud‑native solutions on AWS (EKS/Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB) and build robust CI/CD pipelines that survive production pressure.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, SRE, and Security, apply security‑by‑default practices, work with Docker and Kubernetes, and explore AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining high reliability.

Qualifications

• Solid backend experience with Kotlin.
• Hands-on AWS environment experience (EKS/Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Experience with Kafka and SQS messaging/streams.
• Experience building unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

Responsibilities

• Develop, evolve, and maintain backend services using Kotlin.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS (EKS/Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Implement messaging/streaming with Kafka and SQS.
• Automate tests and build CI/CD pipelines.
• Build Docker containers and manage Kubernetes (EKS).
• Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
• Apply security-by-default practices (IAM, encryption).
• Explore AI tools to support development.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, SRE, and Security.
