Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a senior backend architect to shape long-term technical strategy and architecture across products and platforms. You will lead complex, cross-team initiatives from design through production, establish engineering standards, and own the reliability and evolution of critical production systems.

You will mentor engineers, design AI agents and automation to create organizational leverage, evaluate AI-generated designs for quality, and drive REST-based microservice architectures

Qualifications

• 10+ years building backend apps with Python and FastAPI or equivalent.
• 5+ years architecture, deployment, and operation of cloud-native apps with AWS serverless.
• Expert in REST APIs and distributed microservices.
• Proven experience defining technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience in AI-first environments using AI agents for development.
• Experience designing, building, and integrating AI agents or workflows.
• Experience developing front-end apps with JS/TS/React/Angular.
