Job summary

Dicetek LLC seeks an experienced backend developer to design, build and maintain scalable services powering our fintech applications. You will write clean, well-documented code in Java and Spring Boot, collaborate with frontend teams and product managers, and ensure robust database schemas for performance and integrity.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in backend development, 3+ years on Spring Boot microservices, and strong security, API gateway and regulatory compliance experience in a fintech

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience, with 3+ years building Spring Boot microservices.
• Proven experience in enterprise banking, fintech, payments or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of banking integration patterns, API gateways, and integration architecture.
• Experience in regulated environments with strong security, audit and compliance.
• Scalable, highly available systems supporting critical customer journeys.
• Familiar with CI/CD, DevSecOps, cloud-native development and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Kafka, MQs, and messaging systems; OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker/Istio.

Design develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services and APIs that power our applications Write clean efficient and well-documented code in languages such as Python Java or Go Collaborate with frontend engineers and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions Implement and manage database schemas optimizing for performance and data integrity

Required Experience / Knowledge Areas

• *5+ years of backend development experience with at least 3 years building Spring Boot microservices.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, or financial services solutions.
• Strong understanding of banking integration patterns, API Gateways (Kong, Layer7), and enterprise integration architecture.
• Experience working within regulated environments with strong security, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Experience building highly available and scalable systems supporting mission-critical customer journeys.
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, cloud-native development, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ or other messaging technologies.
• Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Istio Service Mesh, and container orchestration platforms.

Required Skills

• *Strong experience in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and API lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of API security including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, and certificate management.
• Experience with Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, resilience patterns, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, and secure SDLC practices.
