Job summary

The World Food Programme is seeking an IT Emergency Coordinator (WAE International Consultant, Level 2) to support emergency tech responses from Dubai, UAE. The role emphasizes coordinating with ETC, TESS, and partners to plan, implement, and monitor technology services for humanitarian operations.

Required are a university degree in technology or business management and at least 8 years of relevant experience, with fluency in English.

Qualifications

• University degree in Technology or Business Management and relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a related role or field.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a second official UN language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior IT Emergency Coordinator to scale up response efficiently.
• Lead Emergency Response Technology projects in field operations.
• Manage field projects related to ETC, TESS and Service Agreements for FITTEST and Technology Division.
• Represent the Technology Division to Country Management and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate preparation and ensure dissemination of information for funding proposals.
