Job summary

Aventus Global is seeking a hands-on General Accountant for a remote, 12-month contract in the United Arab Emirates. You will own month-end close, reconciliations, procure-to-pay, and VAT reporting, with extension possible based on performance.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, hands-on ERP (SAP preferred), advanced Excel, UAE VAT knowledge, and a degree in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred).
• Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, reconciliations).
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT.
• A degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close: journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet schedules.
• Bank, vendor and intercompany reconciliations.
• Accounts payable and the procure-to-pay process, in line with VAT and approval limits (DOA).
• Budget vs actual reporting and variance analysis.
• Support audits and VAT reporting.
