Job summary

Hire Feed is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a full-time role in a remote capacity. The candidate will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and implement controls to mitigate cyber risks across a distributed global team.

Responsibilities include vulnerability assessments, incident reporting, and remediation recommendations, with a focus on independent work and rigorous analysis of logs and network traffic.

Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar.
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
• Understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic to detect anomalies and potential threats.
• Experience with incident response procedures and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from multiple sources including SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents and determine their scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
