Job summary

Hire Feed is seeking a Security Researcher (Remote) to join our team as a Member of Technical Staff for vulnerability research across codebases, APIs, and infrastructure. The role focuses on high-impact security research and mitigation strategies to strengthen defenses.

The position involves developing PoCs, collaborating with engineering to patch vulnerabilities, and staying ahead of emerging threats in the vulnerability landscape. Remote work from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C, C++, Python or Go for vulnerability analysis.
• Experience with reverse engineering tools: IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja.
• Knowledge of buffer overflows, race conditions, and logic flaws.
• Familiarity with AFL, LibFuzzer or Honggfuzz.
• Understanding OS internals (Linux/Windows) and memory corruption.
• Ability to analyze network protocols and identify weaknesses.
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools: Coverity, Fortify, Valgrind.
• Strong written and verbal communication for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced vulnerability research and analysis across codebases, APIs, and infrastructure components.
• Develop proof-of-concept exploits to validate identified vulnerabilities and assess their impact.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement security patches and mitigations.
• Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and security trends in the vulnerability landscape.
• Document findings in technical reports and present recommendations to stakeholders.
