Job summary

MENA Alliances is seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist to join our IT security team. You will protect our digital infrastructure and sensitive information, working with IT, development, compliance, and risk management to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.

You will monitor networks, implement security controls, perform vulnerability assessments, respond to incidents, and contribute to security policy updates and awareness training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in a cybersecurity role or related IT security field.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEMs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, encryption, and other security measures.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents with detailed reports and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and update security policies, protocols, and procedures in line with standards.
• Provide training and guidance on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors on security audits and assessments.
• Ensure systems are updated with latest security patches and fixes.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity.
