Job summary

Simone's Tutoring is seeking a compassionate ASL Tutor to support learners in Dubai and surrounding areas through personalized ASL instruction. The role focuses on developing communication skills for academic, family, or professional purposes and emphasizes Deaf culture and inclusive education.

This freelance position offers a 60% commission on completed sessions and requires MOHRE eligibility. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or related field, fluency in ASL,

Qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required.
• Two+ years of teaching or tutoring ASL.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Deaf Education, Education, Linguistics or related field.
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' current ASL proficiency and learning goals.
• Deliver personalised one-to-one or small-group ASL lessons.
• Teach ASL vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and signing.
• Introduce learners to Deaf culture and communication etiquette.
• Adapt lessons for diverse ages and needs.
• Support students preparing for ASL coursework or proficiency assessments.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to learners and parents.
• Collaborate with Simone's Tutoring specialists to provide holistic support.
