Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and develop nursing care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care with safety, dignity, privacy and comfort.
  • Monitor vital signs and clinical observations; document and report changes.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, injections as prescribed.
  • Follow approved standards and facility protocols for procedures.
  • Educate patients and families about treatments and discharge plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Job description

A DOH-licensed Registered Nurse responsible for providing safe compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with Department of Health DOH regulations facility policies and professional nursing standards The role involves patient assessment care planning medication administration clinical monitoring documentation patient education and collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients physical psychological and clinical needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans
  • Provide direct patient care while maintaining safety dignity privacy and comfort
  • Monitor and document vital signs patient condition clinical observations and treatment responses
  • Administer medications IV therapy injections and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately
  • Perform nursing procedures in accordance with approved clinical standards and facility protocols
  • Recognize changes in patients conditions and promptly elevate concerns to physicians or senior clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with examinations procedures and treatments
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications treatment plans disease management and discharge instructions
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures including appropriate use of PPE and safe handling of clinical waste
  • Maintain compliance with DOH regulations professional standards patient-safety requirements and facility policies
  • Participate in emergency response resuscitation and other critical-care interventions within scope of practice
  • Ensure proper handling and checking of medications equipment and medical supplies
  • Communicate effectively with patients families physicians nurses and other members of the healthcare team
  • Participate in quality-improvement activities audits training and continuing professional development
  • Maintain professional confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal nursing standards
  • Bachelor s degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid DOH Registered Nurse License .
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required depending on the clinical area.
  • Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and professional nursing standards.
