NMC GROUP SERVICES. in Dubai seeks an experienced Nurse Leader to oversee clinical operations and ensure safe, patient-centered care across departments. You will mentor nursing staff, participate in audits, and drive evidence-based practice with the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with relevant regulatory health authority.

  • Decision making and effective communication skills.
  • Manage own professional re-licensure.
  • Hold valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
  • Willingness to work across departments when necessary.
  • Clear and effective English communication (spoken and written).
  • Desirable: ability to communicate effectively in Arabic.
  • Desirable: organizational and administrative skills including EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and demonstrate NMC Nursing Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Provide clinical guidance, direction and support for all Nurses and Caregivers in their departments and across the facility.
  • Ensure clinical areas run efficiently and safely with involvement of Nurse Managers and Director of Nursing.
  • Direct movement of nursing staff to support clinical needs in accordance with scope, training and competence.
  • Perform direct clinical nursing care when required.
  • Conduct regular clinical rounds with nursing and inter-professional team.
  • Engage with patients and patient bystanders to support patient experience and act on feedback.
  • Assist with clinical supervision and education of staff and contribute to process changes.
  • Carry out patient admissions, discharges, internal and external transfers.
  • Promote patient-focused approach to care in collaboration with health professionals.
  • Uphold regulatory and accreditation standards and comply with DOH/DHA/MOH/MOHAP and NMC quality improvement activities.
  • Lead internal clinical audits and data collection, reporting to Director of Nursing.

Job description

  • Ensure clinical areas are staffed accordingly and provide supervision to nursing personnel
  • Direct movement of nursing staff to support clinical needs in accordance with scope, training and competence
  • Perform direct clinical nursing care when required
  • Conduct regular clinical rounds with nursing and inter-professional team
  • Engage with patients and patient bystanders to support patient experience and act on feedback
  • Assist with clinical supervision and education of staff and contribute to process changes
  • Carry out patient admissions, discharges, internal and external transfers
  • Perform essential life support (BLS, PALS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation as required)
  • Promote patient-focused approach to care in collaboration with health professionals
  • Maintain and demonstrate clinical competence using evidence-based practice and research
  • Ensure nursing care is performed according to policies and procedures
  • Establish, plan, implement and monitor relevant KPIs
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding clinical equipment and inventory supplies
  • Participate in Quality Management team and implement SOPs and protocols relating to patient care
  • Lead internal clinical audits and data collection, reporting to Director of Nursing
  • Develop policies and procedures relating to patient care
  • Uphold regulatory and accreditation standards and comply with DOH/DHA/MOH/MOHAP and NMC quality improvement activities
  • Report incidents and cooperate with investigations and audits
  • Contribute to a positive practice environment and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® standards
  • Uphold professional nursing reputation and act as role model
  • Manage deteriorating patients using Early Warning System and AHA emergency algorithms
  • Delegate tasks only to trained, skilled and competent team members
  • Ensure re-licensure is managed timely and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Support safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and comply with related laws
  • Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems and IPC policies
  • Support teaching, mentorship, preceptorship and supervision of students and newly qualified staff
