Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES is seeking a registered nurse to provide and coordinate patient care across clinical settings. You will educate patients and families, assess needs, implement and monitor medical plans, and collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals.

You will perform systematic assessments, record vital signs, ensure timely care, and participate in life support and emergency procedures as required. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid nursing license with regulatory authority.
  • Maintain re-licensure as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Hold a current American Heart Association BLS provider card.
  • Willing to work across departments when needed.
  • Clear, effective English communication (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Educate patients and the public about health conditions.
  • Offer emotional support to patients and families.
  • Assess needs and implement medical plans and treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals.
  • Conduct systematic patient assessments and data collection.
  • Analyse assessment data to identify nursing problems.
  • Define expected outcomes for patient care plans.
  • Develop and evaluate care plans with the team and patient.
  • Record vital signs and address abnormalities.
  • Maintain and update clinical skills and practice.
  • Promote patient health and a safe environment.
  • Understand diagnostic tests and labs.
  • Provide life support per regulatory scope (BLS, etc.).
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments.
  • Administer meds and monitor for reactions.
  • Deliver treatments (IV fluids, blood products) as needed.
  • Provide wound care management.
  • Assist in invasive or non-invasive procedures.
  • Facilitate safe admission, transfer and discharge.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Providing and coordinating patient care.
  • Educating patients and the public about various health conditions.
  • Providing advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
  • Assessing and identifying patients’ needs and implementing and monitoring their medical plan and treatment.
  • Working with a team of physicians and other health‑care specialists or allied health professionals in various settings.
  • Performing systematic patient assessment, re‑assessment and collecting pertinent data about the patient’s health or situation.
  • Understanding and analysing assessment information and data.
  • Determining actual and potential nursing diagnoses, problems and issues.
  • Defining predicted and expected outcomes of the patient’s planned care.
  • Creating and evaluating patient care plans with the interprofessional team in collaboration with the patient and bystanders.
  • Recording vital signs and recognising, addressing and escalating all abnormalities.
  • Maintaining and updating technical and clinical skills related to nursing practice.
  • Employing strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment.
  • Understanding different diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations.
  • Performing essential life support as per regulatory requirements and scope such as Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, etc.
  • Preparing patients for medical examination and treatment.
  • Administering medications and monitoring patients for any side effects and reactions.
  • Administering treatments such as IV fluids or blood products and monitoring patients for any reactions.
  • Providing wound care management.
  • Assisting in medical procedures – invasive or non‑invasive as needed.
  • Facilitating the process of safe patient admission, transfer and discharge.
Qualifications
  • Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority with all required qualifications and experience.
  • Manage own professional re‑licensure.
  • Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card.
  • Be willing to work across departments when necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
Desirable
  • Evidenced ability to work as part of an inter‑professional team.
  • Organisational and administrative skills to use the electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Arabic.
