Job summary

NMC Group Services in Sharjah is seeking a registered nurse to provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and support clinical teams. You will assess needs, monitor treatment plans, document data, and ensure safety in a dynamic hospital or clinic setting.

Requirements include an active nursing license, BLS, and strong English communication; Arabic skills are desirable. You will collaborate across departments to optimize patient outcomes and care quality.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an appropriate nursing license to practice.
  • Hold a valid Basic Life Support Provider card.
  • Proficient communication in English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work effectively within an inter-professional team.
  • Experience documenting care in an electronic medical record system.
  • Arabic language ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about health conditions, and offer emotional support to patients and families.
  • Assess patient needs and implement and monitor medical plans in collaboration with physicians and allied health specialists.
  • Perform systematic patient assessment, re-assessment and collect pertinent data about health or situation.
  • Record vital signs and recognize and address abnormalities.
  • Maintain and update nursing skills and promote a safe environment.
  • Understand diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations; perform essential life support as required.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
  • Assist in medical procedures and manage patient admissions, transfers and discharges.

Job description

  • Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
  • Assess and identify patients' needs and implement and monitor the patient's medical plan and treatment in collaboration with physicians and allied health specialists
  • Perform systematic patient assessment, re-assessment and collect pertinent data about the patient’s health or situation
  • Understand and analyse assessment information and data
  • Determine actual and potential nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues
  • Define the predicted and expected outcomes of the patient’s planned care
  • Create and evaluate patient care plans with the interprofessional team, in collaboration with the patient and patient's bystanders
  • Record vital signs, recognize, address and escape all abnormalities
  • Maintain and update technical and clinical skills related to nursing practice
  • Employ strategies to promote patients’ health and a safe environment
  • Understand different diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations
  • Perform essential life support as per regulatory requirements and scope (e.g., Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation)
  • Prepare patients for medical examination and treatment
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for any side effects and reactions
  • Administer treatments such as IV fluids or blood products and monitor patients for any reactions
  • Provide wound care management
  • Assist in medical procedures invasive or non-invasive as needed
  • Facilitate the process of safe patient admission, transfer and discharge

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Hold an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority and manage professional re-licensure
  • Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card
  • Willingness to work across departments when necessary
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written)
  • Evidenced ability to work as part of an inter-professional team (desirable)
  • Organizational and administrative skills to use electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation (desirable)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Arabic (desirable)
