Job summary

Amazon MEATR Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) seeks an experienced Environmental Professional to lead compliance across QC and 3P facilities in UAE, KSA, Egypt, South Africa and Turkey. You will own programs for air, stormwater, wastewater, waste and spill response, partnering with Operations and support functions to roll out across sites.

The role requires strong regulatory expertise, analytical skills, and ability to drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment, reporting to MEATR

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs incl. waste, water and air regulations
• Experience rolling out a multi-site compliance program with multiple stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• 6+ years as environment manager, program specialist, or program manager

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance programs for small-format urban facilities across MEATR
• Embed environmental requirements in third-party contracts and service agreements
• Coordinate with Operations, WHS, Legal, Engineering and Real Estate for program deployment
• Identify permits, licenses and reporting obligations across five countries
• Conduct site assessments and document findings in the compliance platform
• Roll out program with defined standards, training and completion criteria
• Provide updates on regulatory developments to stakeholders
• Support regulatory interactions and agency inspections at QC sites
• Prepare and finalize environmental business review reports
• Identify opportunities for standardized programs to reduce resource burden
• Supervise consultants and third-party service providers under EAP scope
