Job summary

Coinbase is expanding its regulated presence in the Middle East, and this role sits at the center of that expansion. You'll drive Coinbase's UAE crypto strategy, manage critical regulatory relationships, and build the operational foundation for our growing business in Abu Dhabi.

As a senior leader, you will lead the locally based Abu Dhabi team, engage regulators (ADGM/FSRA), coordinate with Dubai VARA, and ensure governance and compliance across the region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level experience in financial services and securities.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with regulators (ADGM/FSRA).
• Strong governance, risk, and compliance mindset.
• Ability to influence senior and junior stakeholders regionally and globally.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Abu Dhabi team, engaging regulators and clients.
• Drive the UAE crypto strategy in coordination with the Dubai/VARA team.
• Develop capacity for tokenization and adjacent opportunities under ADGM.
• Oversee budgeting, resourcing, and alignment with financial frameworks.
• Establish governance, controls, and ethical leadership across local ops.
