Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage BOQ, cost estimates, and budgets.

• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations, tenders, and contracts.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate payment certificates.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with a proven track record in contract administration and project cost control from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and budgets for construction projects.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications, valuations, and final accounts.
• Evaluate and negotiate variations, change orders, and claims in coordination with project and site teams.
• Review and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations, tenders, and contracts.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate payment certificates.
• Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow statements to project management.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project.
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and relevant industry regulations.
• Support the procurement process, including tendering, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
• Maintain accurate records of all cost-related documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience in residential, commercialor industrial construction projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, and quantity take-off software (e.g., Planswfit, CostX, Candy, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and specifications.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or JCT contract conditions.
• Experience with ERP or project management systems is an advantage.
