Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on high-rise projects. You will manage BOQs, cost estimates, budgets, interim payments, variations and cost reports, with a focus on civil/structural works and strict adherence to UAE construction practices.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in quantity surveying, proven high-rise experience, Dubai/UAE familiarity, and advanced Excel/MS Office skills; CostX, AutoCAD or Bluebeam are a plus, along with

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Civil Quantity Surveyor.
  • High-rise building projects (15+ floors) experience required.
  • Dubai/UAE construction experience preferred.
  • Based in Dubai/UAE with immediate joiner availability is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of civil/structural building works including concrete, rebar and finishes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Excellent MS Office/Excel; CostX, AutoCAD or Bluebeam are advantageous.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities for high-rise projects.
  • Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates and budgets.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts and scope of work.
  • Measure completed works and prepare interim payment applications/certificates.
  • Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variations, claims and change orders.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and monthly cost reports.
  • Prepare CVR and cost forecasts.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate packages.
  • Review and certify subcontractor payment applications.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts and prepare final accounts.
  • Assist with tendering, procurement and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain proper contractual and commercial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts, specifications and UAE construction practices.

  • Assist with tendering, procurement and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain proper contractual and commercial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts, specifications and UAE construction practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Civil Quantity Surveyor.
  • Strong experience on high-rise building projects (15+ floors) is mandatory.
  • UAE/Dubai construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Currently based in Dubai/UAE & Immediate Joiners preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of civil/structural building works, including concrete, rebar, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, façade and finishes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Excellent Excel/MS Office skills; CostX, AutoCAD, Bluebeam or similar QS software is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

Salary: AED 9,000–10,000/month, depending on experience and suitability.
