Job summary

Rowad Modern Engineering seeks a Quality Control Team Leader to oversee QC systems across UAE construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. You will lead site QC teams, review ITPs, and coordinate with construction, technical office, and consultants to minimize rework and support timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a civil/architectural engineering degree, 7–9 years of UAE experience, and familiarity with TAQA projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering, required.
• 7-9 years of experience in UAE, a must.
• Experience on TAQA projects is required.
• PMP is a plus.
• Knowledge of materials, production processes, and quality control methods.

Responsibilities

• Create an Inspection Test Plan (ITP) across all materials, detailing inspection type, survey, and steps.
• Plan and administer laboratory testing, interpret results, and verify compliance with specifications.
• Participate in out-of-specification investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform routine and non-routine tests of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Review Method of Statement from Shop Drawing team and communicate quality plans to subcontractors.
• Present Material Submittal documents to the project consultant for compliance purposes.
• Respond to IR inspections by performing inspections with consultants to ensure standard compliance.
• Assess and calibrate project equipment and materials to meet quality standards and performance.

Job description

The Quality Control Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control systems across construction projects in the UAE to ensure full compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and local/international standards. The role involves leading site QC teams, conducting inspections and audits, reviewing method statements and ITPs, coordinating with construction, technical office, and consultant teams, and ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, materials, and quality standards while supporting timely project delivery and minimizing rework.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create an Inspection Test Plan (ITP) across all materials in terms of type of inspection, inspection survey, inspection steps, etc.
• Plan and administer the laboratories testing, interpret test results, compare them to established specifications, and ensure its compliance.
• Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform routine and non-routine tests of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished goods.
• Review Methods of Statement from the Shop Drawing team and communicate to the subcontractors the quality plan for implementation.
• Present Material Submittal document to the project consultant, that entails the quality of materials used, data sheets, etc., for compliance purposes.
• Respond to all external and internal inspection requests (IR), by performing inspections on products and materials with consultants to ensure its compliance with standards.
• Assess and calibrate all project’s equipment and materials used to ensure compliance with the quality standards, measures, and performance.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering.
• 7-9 years of experience in UAE is a must.
• Proven experience working on TAQA projects is required
• PMP is a plus.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
