Job summary

Rakhat Construction is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer with 3+ years of UAE construction experience, specializing in high-rise tower projects. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and UAE standards across all construction activities and materials.

Responsibilities include implementing PQP/ITPs, conducting inspections, reviewing submittals, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with consultants and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years UAE QA/QC experience on construction sites.
• Experience with high-rise tower projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct pre-, during, and post-construction inspections for structural, civil, architectural, and finishing works.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, painting, and other related activities.
• Ensure all works comply with approved IFC/shop drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable UAE codes and standards.
• Review method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and quality requirements before work commencement.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with approved material submittals, manufacturer certificates, and test reports.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, site engineers, and project management teams.
• Witness and monitor site and laboratory tests, including concrete slump tests, cube testing, compaction tests, and other required quality tests.
• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformances; issue NCRs and follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, including inspection requests (IRs), checklists, MIRs, WIRs, ITRs, test reports, and quality logs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and support internal and external quality audits.
• Coordinate with HSE, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Support project handover by ensuring all quality documentation, inspections, and close-out requirements are completed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Proven experience in high-rise tower projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, IRs, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, municipality requirements, and consultant inspection procedures.
• Experience with concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, finishing works, material inspections, and testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and quality management software is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections in a fast-paced site environment.
• ISO 9001 awareness or certification is an advantage.
