Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION EIGHTH ENGINEERING DIVISION CORPORATION LIMITED - DUBAI BRANCH is seeking a skilled QA/QC professional to supervise civil site activities in the UAE. You will verify compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs and QA/QC procedures, while maintaining inspection records and coordinating with multiple on-site teams.

The ideal candidate has a Civil or Mechanical engineering background with 4–6 years of QA/QC experience in construction, plus UAE project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of QA/QC experience in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs, Method Statements, Inspection Requests, NCRs, and QA/QC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect site activities related to site leveling, excavation, backfilling, compaction, and earthworks.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project quality requirements.
• Conduct inspections and prepare Inspection Requests (IRs) and quality records.
• Inspect civil works including roads, grading, site development works, foundations, concrete works, and underground utilities.
• Monitor and verify soil compaction, field density tests, levels, and elevations.
• Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, laboratories, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
• Raise and follow up NCRs, observations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, checklists, and testing documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants and client representatives during inspections and approvals.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with UAE standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum 4–6 years of QA/QC experience in construction projects.

3. Strong experience in earthworks, site leveling, excavation, backfilling, and compaction.

4. Civil or Mechanical QA/QC experience will be considered.

5. Good knowledge of ITPs, Method Statements, Inspection Requests, NCRs, and QA/QC documentation.

6. UAE project experience is required/preferred.

7. Good knowledge of construction drawings and project specifications.

8. Good communication and coordination skills.

9. Candidates must be currently available in the UAE and able to join within 15 days.
