QA/QC Engineer - Piping

Job summary

EPIC Piping is seeking an experienced QC Engineer to lead QA/QC for piping fabrication projects in Abu Dhabi. You will review piping specifications, perform inspections, and coordinate non-conformance resolutions, ensuring all activities meet quality requirements.

The role requires 13+ years in Oil & Gas QC, ASNT Level II, CSWIP/AWS-SCWI, and strong Excel skills. Fluency in English is essential for reporting and coordination on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or metallurgical engineering is required.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is mandatory.
• ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT is required.
• CSWIP 3.2 or AWS-SCWI certification is mandatory.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and Sec IX is required.
• Total experience of at least 13 years as QC Engineer on Oil & Gas projects.
• Hands-on experience in welding, NDT, and coating/painting.
• Strong skills in project quality auditing.
• Excellent coordination and reporting abilities.
• MS Excel proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for piping fabrication projects.
• Review piping system specs, blueprints, and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections and tests on piping systems, welds, joints, and materials for quality compliance.
• Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective actions.
• Monitor and verify corrective actions to ensure effective resolution.
• Prepare detailed documentation of inspection processes and findings.
• Collaborate with project teams and contractors to ensure quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry standards and implement QA/QC improvements.
