Job summary

ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION & RECONSTRUCTION CO. LLC is seeking a QA QC Engineer to oversee the Quality Management System on construction projects, ensuring materials, workmanship and construction activities meet project specs, contract requirements, codes and ISO standards.

The role involves implementing PQP/ITPs, coordinating with consultants and clients, inspecting civil and finishing works, preparing MIRs/IRs, and maintaining quality records.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
• Conduct inspections of civil, architectural, structural and finishing works to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site engineers for inspections and approvals.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and quality documentation.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements and technical specifications.
• Identify non-conforming works (NCRs), investigate root causes and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings and method statements from a quality perspective.
• Ensure all materials delivered to site meet project specifications and approved standards.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, calibration certificates, test results and quality logs.
• Coordinate laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, steel and asphalt.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
• Monitor subcontractors' quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Attend project meetings related to quality matters.
• Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports for project management.
• Assist during project handover and close-out by preparing quality dossiers and as-built documentation.
