Job summary

DSV in Abu Dhabi seeks an Operations, Quality Assurance Specialist to safeguard material quality and compliance across projects.

You will verify materials, review MTCs/IRNs, issue RFIs, ensure proper storage, and maintain QA/QC records in line with ISO 9001 and PQP, with 2–4 years in oil & gas EPCM projects.

This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, problem solving, and collaboration with client inspectors and EPCM teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in material inspection, QA/QC, warehouse quality control, or materials coordination within oil & gas or EPCM projects.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, data interpretation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials against purchase orders, packing lists, and material specifications.
• Review Material Test Certificates (MTC), Inspection Release Notes (IRN), and compliance documents.
• Prepare and submit RFI (Request for Inspection) to the EPCM Contractor and client QC team for approval.
• Ensure RFI approvals before materials are released for storage or issuance.
• Ensure materials are stored in designated areas per client specifications.
• Monitor preservation procedures and maintain preservation logs to prevent deterioration.
• Ensure materials are labeled and traceable, linking each item to MTCs and vendor documents
• Maintain records of RFIs, MRIRs and OSD reports
• Upload and manage inspection documents in the material management system.
• Raise an RFI for material issuance inspections and coordinate with client inspectors for approval before dispatch.
• Ensure proper release documentation before materials leave the warehouse.
• Follow client’s engineering specs, PQP, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Conduct inspections as per Material Receiving Inspection Procedure and QA/QC guidelines.
• Coordinate RFIs with EPCM Contractor, client QC team, and Implementation Contractors.
• Maintain an updated RFI log and track inspection status.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to meet business needs.
