Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a Material Inspector to support QA/QC for EPCM projects in the UAE. You will verify materials against orders and specs, review certification documents, and coordinate RFIs with client and EPCM teams.

The role requires 2–4 years in material inspection or related QA/QC roles within oil & gas. You will ensure proper storage, labeling, and record-keeping, aligning with client PQP and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2-4 years in material inspection, QA/QC, warehouse quality control, or materials coordination in oil & gas / EPCM projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials against purchase orders, packing lists, and material specifications.
• Review MTC, IRN, and compliance documents.
• Prepare and submit RFI to the EPCM Contractor and client QC team for approval.
• Ensure RFI approvals before materials are released for storage or issuance.
• Ensure materials are stored in designated areas per client specifications.
• Monitor preservation procedures and maintain preservation logs.
• Ensure materials are labeled and traceable, linked to MTCs and vendor documents.
• Maintain records of RFIs, MRIRs, and OSD reports.
• Upload/manage inspection documents in the material management system.
• Raise RFIs for material issuance inspections and obtain client approvals.
• Ensure documentation before materials leave the warehouse.
• Follow ISO standards and client QA/QC guidelines.
• Coordinate RFIs with EPCM contractor and client QC team.
• Maintain an updated RFI log and track inspection status.
