Job summary

Al Ashram Contracting is seeking a motivated Purchase Officer in Dubai to source and procure materials and services for construction projects, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency and timely delivery.

You will negotiate contracts, coordinate with project managers and engineers, manage POs and monitor stock levels, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Purchase Officer or in a similar procurement role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and UAE supplier networks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and make informed procurement decisions.
• Proficient in procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
