Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates invites an experienced procurement professional to lead sourcing for construction and joinery materials, equipment, and services. You will align procurement with project timelines and budgets, and drive supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management.

You will coordinate with project managers, the joinery factory, and production teams to schedule deliveries, monitor costs, and maintain audit-ready procurement records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years procurement experience in construction/ joinery industry.
• Hands-on procurement for joinery or fit-out works.
• Certifications such as CPPO or CSCP are valued.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracting practices.
• Knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, and finishes in UAE market.
• Experience managing multiple suppliers and projects.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
• Familiarity with construction project timelines and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction and joinery materials, equipment, and services aligned with project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct market analysis to identify construction and joinery suppliers and subcontractors; assess their capabilities, certifications, and project experience.
• Source and manage suppliers for joinery materials such as wood, MDF, plywood, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishes.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and equipment vendors for construction projects, focusing on pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance for on-time delivery of materials to project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, the joinery factory, and the production team on material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor construction and joinery material costs and ensure budget compliance across projects.
• Process purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation for audits and compliance.

6. Good knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, and finishes, and their suppliers in the UAE market
