Qualifications

• Secondary vocational education or equivalent qualification.
• 4 to 6 years of Public Relations/Government Relations experience, preferably maritime sector.
• Strong understanding of UAE labour, immigration and commercial regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience handling government portals (Immigration, Labour, Free Zones, etc.).
• Excellent relationship-building with government stakeholders and external agencies.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple processes.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a must.
• Willingness to be based in the UAE.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all government-related processes including obtaining certificates and renewals, managing company registrations and maintaining government portals.
• Manage visa-related procedures such as applications, issuance, cancellations and guiding employees on documentation and timelines.
• Liaise with Immigration, Labour Departments, Quasi-Government entities, Port Authorities, Embassies and other relevant bodies.
• Process and maintain company legal documents including Trade Licenses, endorsements, Chamber of Commerce documents and other paperwork.
• Track, reconcile and submit accurate PR-related expense reports in line with company policy.
• Represent Smit Lamnalco in Labour cases and complete statutory formalities as required.
• Provide regular updates to HR and Operations on political, government or regulatory changes affecting the company.
