Job summary

Sofitel Dubai Downtown is seeking a dedicated Public Area Attendant to maintain spotless lobbies, entrances, and rest areas. You will perform high- and low-dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and deep cleaning of assigned public spaces to uphold luxury hotel standards.

Minimum 1 year in a similar role is required. Strong organizational skills and time management are essential to coordinate tasks efficiently across busy hotel areas in Downtown Dubai.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a housekeeping/public area attendant role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and deep cleaning all assigned public areas (lobbies, entrances, hallways, stairwells, and offices).
• Clean, sanitize, and restock guest public restrooms throughout the day, ensuring consistent cleanliness and scent management.
• Maintain floor care including carpet shampooing, marble/tile polishing, waxing, and buffing using specialized floor care machinery.
• Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, windows, brass, chrome, and wooden fixtures to a spotless finish.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins across public and back-of-house areas, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling segregation.
• Ensure outdoor guest areas (entrance drop-off areas, patios, pool decks, terraces) are free of litter and maintained to hotel standards.
