Job summary

S K OVERSEAS HR CONSULTANCY is seeking a PTW (Permit to Work) Engineer to oversee the full lifecycle of PTW systems in a Gulf oil and gas environment. The role requires strong PTW knowledge, coordination with field operations, and proactive safety compliance to ensure safe and timely permitted work.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 3–7 years of relevant field experience, and familiar with isolation procedures and risk assessments. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Experience with isolation procedures, risk assessments, and control of hazardous energy.
• Minimum 3–7 years in an oil and gas field environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of the PTW system including issuance, renewal, suspension, and closure of permits.
• Ensure permit applications are properly assessed and meet HSE and operational requirements before approval.
• Coordinate with field operations, maintenance teams, HSE personnel and contractors to facilitate permitted work safely and on schedule.
• Maintain updated logs of all open, closed and suspended permits.
• Conduct daily site walkdowns and permit audits to ensure compliance with permit conditions and job safety requirements.
• Report and escalate any unsafe practices or permit violations promptly.
• Assist in incident investigations related to permitted work and contribute to improvement plans.
