Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi seeks an Estimation Engineer - Firefighting to prepare detailed estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for firefighting and life-safety systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA/BS standards and local authority requirements.

You will collaborate with project, procurement, and design teams to develop unit rates, assess vendor quotes, and support bid delivery with accurate cost plans and risk registers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, Electrical Eng, QS, or related field.
• 2-6 years or more estimation experience in firefighting and life-safety systems.
• Experience with UAE/GCC projects and local authority requirements preferred.
• Proven ability to prepare BOQs and tender submissions.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and prepare detailed BOQs for firefighting systems and life-safety components.
• Review drawings, specs, and vendor data to ensure compliance with NFPA/BS and local codes.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations and develop subcontractor scope of work.
• Create cost plans, budget estimates, and risk registers for bids and tenders.
• Collaborate with project teams to align estimates with programme constraints.
