Job summary

SIMCO, part of STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, seeks a Proposal Engineer in Dubai to develop cost estimates and proposals for civil infrastructure projects. You will prepare BOQs, perform quantity take-offs, and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes.

The role requires a Bachelors in Civil/Structural Engineering with 2+ years of experience, strong technical writing, and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. Occasional site visits may be required.

Key Candidate Selection Criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Technical Knowledge
• Fundamental knowledge of estimation principles.
• Basic knowledge of NDT’s and SDT’s methodologies
• Familiarity with construction fieldwork, concrete repair, structural rehabilitation and strengthening, waterproofing, protective coatings, or infrastructure maintenance is an advantage.
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications is desirable.
• Understanding durability, condition assessment, or structural inspection services is desirable.
• Estimation Skills

• Ability to coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Capable of preparing clear technical documentation.

• Willing to learn specialized durability, forensic engineering, and condition/structural assessment techniques.
• Comfortable working both in the office and on project sites.
• Able to work at heights, in construction or industrial environments, and travel to project locations when required.

• Able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
