Project Manager – Technology Systems

Position Purpose
The Project Manager – Technology Systems supports the planning, coordination and successful delivery of technology projects across the MEA region.The position is open to early-career project management professionals and high-potential candidates with a strong technical foundation, commercial awareness and the ambition to develop into broader project leadership responsibilities.Depending on experience, the successful candidate will initially manage defined project workstreams or smaller projects under the guidance of senior project management colleagues, progressing toward independent ownership of increasingly complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Contribution to Business Objectives
- Support the successful delivery of projects in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring compliance with the company’s quality standards and contractual commitments.
- Monitor project performance and support the achievement of project revenue, cost and profitability objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely project updates, analyses and reports for management.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve project management effectiveness, operational efficiency and organizational growth.
Project Planning and Delivery
- Support the planning, coordination and control of project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones and quality objectives.
- Manage assigned projects or project workstreams according to the candidate’s level of experience and delegated authority.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities and follow up on agreed actions, deliverables, dependencies and deadlines.
- Maintain project documentation, plans, schedules, risk registers, action logs and status reports.
- Monitor project progress against agreed baselines and promptly elevate risks, delays, cost deviations or resource constraints.
- Support the timely delivery and acceptance of integrated hardware, software and communications-system projects.
- Coordinate customer training, demonstrations, trials, testing, system acceptance and project handover activities.
- Support project closure, including final documentation, commercial reconciliation and lessons learned.
Commercial and Risk Management
- Track project costs, revenue, margins, budgets, forecasts and milestone progress.
- Assist in preparing project performance reports comparing planned and actual results.
- Identify, assess and monitor project risks and opportunities, supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support tender preparation, bid reviews, project costing and the assessment of resources and delivery timelines.
- Participate in customer and supplier discussions relating to project scope, deliverables, schedules and commercial matters.
- Support procurement and sourcing activities for project-related technical goods and services.
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotations in coordination with the Commercial, Procurement and Engineering teams.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with customers, internal departments, suppliers, subcontractors, partners and relevant authorities.
- Organize and participate in project reviews, status meetings, technical clarifications and customer presentations.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, decisions and required actions.
- Support the integration and performance management of local subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
- Assist Sales teams with customer demonstrations, trials and project-related technical or commercial inputs across the MEA region.
- Build constructive and professional relationships with customers and internal and external stakeholders.
Technical and Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Coordinate technical project inputs with Engineering and other relevant functions.
- Support design reviews and ensure that technical deliverables are aligned with the approved project scope and customer requirements.
- Facilitate collaboration among Project Management, Engineering, Technical Service, Sales, Commercial, Procurement and Finance.
- Support the coordination of after‑sales services, warranty activities and customer‑service requirements where these form part of the project scope.
- Ensure that technical or contractual matters requiring specialist authority are referred to the appropriate responsible function.
Contribution to Efficiency and Capability Development
- Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes, templates, tools and reporting practices.
- Support effective resource planning, capacity monitoring and asset utilization.
- Maintain awareness of relevant technologies, market developments and project management practices.
- Participate in project reviews and lessons‑learned activities, translating insights into practical improvements.
- Contribute to the development of reliable long‑term relationships with key subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
- Take ownership of personal development and progressively build the capabilities required to manage larger and more complex projects independently.

Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Technology or a comparable technical discipline.
- A qualification or certification in project management is advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
- Early‑career candidates and professionals with approximately
- 2–5 years of relevant experience
- in project coordination, project engineering, systems engineering, technical operations or project management are encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional recent graduates with strong academic performance, relevant internships, practical project exposure and demonstrated leadership potential may also be considered.
- Experience in technology, systems integration, telecommunications, air traffic control, defense, security or another project‑driven technical environment is advantageous.
- Exposure to procurement, technical sourcing, subcontractor coordination or commercial project management is beneficial.
- Previous formal people‑management experience is not required.
Technical Knowledge
Knowledge of, or demonstrable interest in, communications and integrated technology systems is advantageous, particularly in one or more of the following areas:
- Voice Communication Systems
- V/UHF and HF Radio Systems
- IP Networking Technologies
- Software and hardware integration
- Air Traffic Control, defense or security systemsCandidates are not expected to be experts across all technical areas. However, they must demonstrate the ability and motivation to develop the required technical and project‑management knowledge.

- Fluency in English is essential. German or Arabic language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the MEA region, including occasional extended assignments where required.
