Job summary

DSV is seeking a Project Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead door-to-door project logistics from planning through final delivery. You will develop execution plans, schedules, and risk registers while coordinating multimodal transport with international freight and heavy lift operations.

In this role, you will manage budgets, monitor profitability, and lead a team of 3-5 project logistics professionals to ensure on-time, safe, and cost-efficient project deliveries in a dynamic global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, business or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk or project cargo operations.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, execution and commercial & cost management.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

• Lead full door-to-door project logistics (heavy lift, modules, project cargo) operations from planning through final delivery.
• Develop and manage detailed project execution plans, transportation schedules, milestones, and risk registers.
• Coordinate multimodal transportation involving international freight, road, sea, barge, rail, heavy haul and specialized lifting operations.
• Manage movement of oversized, out-of-gauge (OOG), breakbulk, heavy lift and project cargo.
• Ensure all project deliveries are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manage a team of 3-5 project logistics professionals.

Technical & Engineering Coordination

• Review transportation studies, lifting plans, route surveys and method statements.
• Coordinate with transport engineers, heavy lift contractors, shipping lines and port operators.
• Assess technical feasibility for transportation and lifting operations.
• Evaluate transport routes, bridge capacities, road restrictions and permitting requirements.

Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets, cost controls and profitability.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms with carriers, transporters and project vendors.
• Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

Education – Bachelors / Master’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.

Work Experience – 5-8 experience in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk or project cargo operations.
