Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics seeks an experienced project logistics professional to lead door‑to‑door operations from planning through final delivery. The role requires managing schedules, risk registers and coordinating international multimodal transport for heavy lift and project cargo.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years in project logistics, with strong skills in engineering coordination, commercial management, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Education – Bachelors / Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
• 5–8 years experience in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk or project cargo operations.

Job description

Project Management & Execution

• Lead full door-to-door project logistics (heavy lift, modules, project cargo) operations from planning through final delivery.

Technical & Engineering Coordination

• Review transportation studies, lifting plans, route surveys and method statements.
• Coordinate with transport engineers, heavy lift contractors, shipping lines and port operators.
• Assess technical feasibility for transportation and lifting operations.
• Evaluate transport routes, bridge capacities, road restrictions and permitting requirements.

Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets, cost controls and profitability.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms with carriers, transporters and project vendors.
• Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications & Characteristics

Education – Bachelors / Master’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.

Work Experience – 5-8 experience in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk or project cargo operations.
