Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a senior Project Logistics Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead end-to-end project cargo operations. You will design execution plans, schedules, and risk registers while coordinating international freight, road, sea, barge, rail, and lifting operations.

You will oversee movement of heavy lift and oversized cargo, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and mentor a small team of 3–5 professionals.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors / Master’s in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• Work Experience: 5–8 years in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk or project cargo operations.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full door-to-door project logistics operations from planning through final delivery.
• Develop and manage detailed project execution plans, transportation schedules, milestones, and risk registers.
• Coordinate multimodal transportation involving international freight, road, sea, barge, rail, heavy haul and specialized lifting operations.
• Manage movement of oversized, out-of-gauge (OOG), breakbulk, heavy lift and project cargo.
• Ensure all project deliveries are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

• Assess technical feasibility for transportation and lifting operations.
• Evaluate transport routes, bridge capacities, road restrictions and permitting requirements.

Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets, cost controls and profitability.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms with carriers, transporters and project vendors.
• Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

Education – Bachelors / Master’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.

Work Experience – 5-8 experience in project logistics, heavy lift, breakbulk or project cargo operations.
